Hifdhul Mutun Program

Duration: 3.5 years

Overview: The Hifdhul Mutun program is designed for individuals who have already memorized the Qur'an and are taught under the guidance of various esteemed Ulama to deepen their understanding of Islam. They are trained to disseminate knowledge effectively and prepare for roles as scholars who serve their communities. We have a cohort of 100 adults (50 day scholars and 50 boarders).

Challenges: Currently, there is a shortage of one teacher. The required monthly salary is Ksh 50,000, and we are actively fundraising to fill this gap. These students require accommodation and meals. We already have a place to accommodate them but lack the resources to provide decent meals per day at a cost of $150 (i.e., $1.5/person per day) equivalent to $4,500 per month. We seek donations in kind (actual food items) or equivalent in cash for the same. Potential donors are requested to help at any scale such as weekly, monthly, quarterly, half or the whole year depending on the ability.

A Waqf’s Lasting Impact

Here is a clip showing how a Waqf continues to benefit you long after you’ve passed. This example highlights the donations made by our beloved Sahabi, Uthman bin Affan (RA), during his time. One of his notable contributions was the establishment of a Waqf in Madinah, which continues to serve the Muslim Ummah to this day.

Currently, the hotel in Madinah generates revenue that is used to support various community initiatives. Since a Waqf is not owned by individuals but is rather an Amanah (trust), the donations Uthman bin Affan made have been invested for generations, and their benefits continue to serve.
